Mountain Mule Ciderhouse is a family owned and operated cidery in Western NY. Gabe and Jenna Bruning and their 5 kids make up the team that started this awesome venture!
Gabe Bruning had a passion for making hard cider in his basement just for fun. After a lot of encouraging from friends and family who had tired some of the amazing ciders he had created it was finally decided to open Mountain Mule Ciderhouse! In 2019 Gabe applied for his license to make and sell cider, with much delay through covid he was finally official and legal to sell in April 2021!
The cidery now produces 7 different ciders with more in the works.
Our roots run deep here in Western NY agriculture. Jenna helps her dad run their family fruit farm in Medina, NY. It is on that farm that all the apples used for the cider are grown! In 2020 the farm added a block of cider apples just for the cidery. All the cider is pressed at the Roberts Farm Market by Gary Roberts, Jenna's dad.
The cidery started off slow but was able to grow quickly with the help of many friends and family members who were willing to show up and help with anything! We are excited to see where the future takes us and to meet so many new and wonderful people along the way!
